Seasons in Nepal are not same throughout the year. The geographical features make the country experience different seasons. Trekking in Nepal is considered the best in the spring and autumn seasons.
After winter as the sun begins to get warmer, the soothing spring season makes the trekking comfortable to hike even in the high mountains. The blooming season for the faunas makes the trek a beautiful journey.
During autumn season, the weather is neither hot nor cold and the mountains are more vivid in this season. The sightseeing in the Himalayas during this season makes the trek more wonderful.
Winter trekking is suitable in only low altitude mountains. The high mountains during this season pose a threat as the Himalayas experience snowfalls blurring the views, temperature drops to freezing levels and the icy wind does more harm to the human body.
Nepal has heavy rainfalls during monsoon seasons so trekking during monsoon is not recommended. However, it can be an ideal season to trek to the rain-shadowed area of Nepal like Upper Mustang, Nar-Phu Valley and Dolpo region.
