Tilicho Lake Trek starts from Kathmandu visiting the UNESCO world cultural heritage sites which includes Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar square. Next, drive to Besi sahar for about 06-07 hours and then drive furthermore to Syange for about 03-04 hrs by local 4 wheeler jeep. Then, trek to Manang, a beautiful ethnic village inhabited by the Tibetan religious people which is the tourist hub for Annapurna circuit trekking and has facilities like telephone, internet, money exchange, small sopping, high altitude hospital, German bakery and more. It is also called the district beyond the Himalayas. It is the hot spot to observe stunning view of Mt. Gangapurna and Gangapurna Glacier Lake and rich Tibetan culture, tradition and custom. Then after, trek to Tilicho Lake for 8-9 days considering an ultimate destination and then ends to Jomsom encircling the Annapurna massif reaching the highest pass, Thorong – La Passat at 5,416m.

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet and greet at the international airport and transfer to hotel. Short briefing of trip. Check in to hotel and rest for refreshment. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 02 : Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour – B
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and head towards Kathmandu sightseeing tour, especially UNESCO world cultural heritage sites which includes Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square for the experience of beautiful fusion of religion, culture and history. These heritage monuments reflect the centuries old culture, arts and architecture of Nepal which are medieval charms of Malla Dynasty. After tour, drop off to hotel and make a preparation for Tilicho Lake Trek including all trekking permits and equipments. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 03 : Drive Kathmandu – Sayange (1,100m, 8-10 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and drive to Besi Sahar for about 6 hours by public vehicle through scenic Highway. Take a stop for Lunch at Besi Sahar. Then, furthermore drive to Syange (1,100m) for about 03 hours by a 4 wheeler local jeep. This gives an experience of mountain driving in Nepal with the view of winding rivers, terraced fields, greeneries, local villages and beautiful mountain scenery.
Day 04 : Syange – Trek to Dharapani (1,960m, 07-08 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Dharapani. The trek enters to Manang district after crossing a large bridge near Tal. The trail passes through barley, rice and potato fields, waterfalls and then the village of Kodo before reaching Dharapani which is one of the biggest villages in the Manang valley. Overnight at Tea house, Dharapani.
Day 05 : Dharapani – Trek to Chame (2,710m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Chame for about 05-06 hrs. The trek goes through a few steep forested ridges along with several landslides. The trek also goes across small hot springs which should help us relax for a while. It is the headquater of Manang district and an awesome place which will greet us with remarkable views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m). Overnight at Tea house, Chame.
Day 06 : Chame – Trek to Pisang (3,300m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Pisang for about 05-06 hrs. The trek goes through a steep and narrow valley to have our first view of Paungda Danda rock face, a dramatic curved rock face rising 1,500m from the river. From here, we also admire the excellent views of Annapurna II to the south and Pisang Peak to the north east. Then, the trek descends down to Manang Valley floor enjoying the captivating landscape. Overnight at Tea house, Pisang.
Day 07 : Pisang – Trek to Manang (3,500m, 06-07 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Manang for 05-06 hrs. From Pisang there are two routes to Manang. We choose the one which passes through Upper Pisang via Geru as it guarantees outstanding views of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and others. As the trek reaches closer to Manang the climate becomes more cold and dry. However, a short visit to Barge Monastery, the biggest monastery in the Manang District should cheer us up. Overnight at Tea house, Manang.
Day 08 : Rest and Acclimatization day at Manang – B/L/D
Rest day at Manang to acclimatize the altitude climate. In order to keep fit on the trails that follow, we should keep ourselves busy with a short hike. Explore the local area of Gangapurna Glacier Lake or hike to Vraga Village if we have energy, where we can visit the Himalayan Rescue Association which will give us some idea about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Be comfortable in adjusting the high altitude climate. Overnight at Tea house, Manang.
Day 09 : Manang – Trek to Siri Kharka (4,060m, 04-05 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Siri Kharka for about 04-05 hrs. From Manang, The trek heads out through the western gate and follows the trail down to the river. The trek crosses the river and continues moving on its southern side through coniferous forest. After reaching Kangsar Village, the trek goes further upwards Siri Kharka and passes a monastery on the way. The uphill trek could be tiring but we will have Gungang Himal and Mt. Chulu in the backdrop to keep us company. Overnight at Tea house, Siri Kharka.
Day 10 : Siri Kharka – Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4,140m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Tilicho Base Camp for 05-06 hrs. The trail from Siri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp isn’t very steep or physically strenuous but it could be exhausting as the trek goes on narrow trails in loose scree and landslide area. The trail goes through the middle of the landslide area whereby we can see impressive rock formations along the trail. Overnight at Tea house, Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 11 : Tilicho Base Camp – Trek and explore Tilicho Lake (4,949m) and then back to Tilicho Base Camp ( 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, trek to Tilicho Lake for about 03 hrs. After the initial tough ascent, the trail traverses onto a moraine and then cuts along the side of the mountain. However, the spectacular views of Tilicho, Nilgiri, Khangsar and Muktinath peaks are always close by to cheer us up. Upon reaching Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, we get to admire its tranquil beauty. Sometimes reflections of the surrounding peaks are seen on its turquoise waters, at other times the lake remains frozen. We take a break beside the calm waters and soak-in the astounding views before heading back to the base camp. Overnight at Tea house, Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 12 : Tilicho Base Camp – Trek to Yak Kharka (4,040m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Yak Kharka for about 05-06 hrs. The trail leads out of the Marsyangdi valley and the abrupt change in surroundings can be noticed as the trees are left behind and replaced with more alpine vegetation. The trail continues through the ruins of the old Khangsar village until we cross a long bridge over the river between Gumsang and Yak Kharka. The typical Himalayan village of Yak Kharka is an accolade to its name, as lots of yaks can be seen grazing and standing around. From here we also get breathtaking views of Annapurna III. Overnight at Tea house, Yak Kharka.
Day 13 : Yak kharka – Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,420m, 03-04 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Thorong Phedi for 03-04 hrs. It is an uphill trek to Thorang Phedi. After trekking for some time we cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. Then, the trek ascends furthermore and passes through towering cliffs before reaching Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La. On this trip we are rewarded with one of the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorong Peak and Mt. Khatungkan. Overnight at Tea house, Thorong Phedi.
Day 14 : Thorong Phedi – Trek to Thorong La pass (5,416m) and then to Muktinath (3,800, 07-08 hrs) – B/L/D
It is a long day of this Trek and the highlight of this trip which is approximately 07-08 hrs. Wake up early in the morning around 03.00 am, start the adventurous trek towards the highest pass in the world, Thorong La pass (5,416m). A slow pace uphill trek takes about 04-05 hours to reach the pass. After reaching on the top, everyone feels great and realizes that the journey was worthy. The 360 degree view from the top makes everyone forget all the effort and difficulties done. Take some photos for lifetime memory. Then, the trek descends down to Muktinath for about another 03-04 hours. Overnight at hotel, Muktinath.
Day 15 : Muktinath – Trek to Jomsom (2,800m, 04-05 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the nice downhill trek for about 04-05 hrs to an exceptionally beautiful mountain town, Jomsom. Explore the mountain town and its vicinity and experience the culture, custom and lifestyle of the local people. Overnight at hotel, Jomsom.
Day 16 : Fly Jomsom – Pokhara (20 min) – B
After breakfast, fly to Pokhara in the morning which is 20 minutes long. It is a beautiful and adventurous scenic flight through the series of mountain peaks in Annapurna region. After arrival in Pokhara, transfer to hotel. Check in to hotel and rest for refreshment. Explore the natural and adventurous wonders of Pokhara; a beautiful Lake city, which includes boating in Phewa Lake, visit to Taal Barahi Temple (situated on a small island in Phewa lake), Devis falls, Gupteshwor cave and adventurous activities like Para gliding, Ultra-light Flight and Zip Flyer on an extra cost. Enjoy the free time by boating in Phewa Lake, taking massage or exploring the lake side. Overnight at hotel, Pokhara.
Day 17 : Drive Pokhara – Kathmandu (200 km, 06-07 hrs) – B/D
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and drive to Kathmandu by tourist bus for about 06-07 hrs through the scenic highway. After reaching Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. Check in to hotel and rest for refreshment. Enjoy the free time by shopping at souvenir shops and hanging around Thamel (tourism hub city). In the evening, Farewell dinner in a typical Nepali Restaurant with authentic Nepali cuisine and cultural dance performance. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 18 : Departure – B
Leisure until departure. Transfer to the International Airport to board the flight.
