Dhaulagiri Trek is one of the best wild adventurous trekking packages in the Nepal to explore the wilderness around Mt. Dhaulagiri. Mt. Dhaulagiri is the 7th highest mountain in the world situated in the northwest of Pokhara Valley. Literally, Dhaulagiri means White Mountain; soaring in solitary magnificent, this outstanding summit ascends as a massive shoulder of pure ice. The trek goes round the virgin and untouched area of Dhaulagiri is challenging and adventurous. Dhaulagiri trekking zone is considered as one of the most isolated places, has profusion of Himalayan peaks, timberlands, streams, waterfalls, high icy mass camp, French Col, hidden valleys, high passes and sweeping vistas. White Mountain, separated from the Annapurna region by Kali Gandaki gorge, the deepest gorge in the world, comprises more than 10 peaks over 7000m.
Dhaulagiri trek is excellent commenced from Beni, forwards up to the base camp where the trekkers reach the French pass (5,360 m); the highest point of this trek, down the French pass enters the lost but attractive place; the accurate wilderness areas reachable to trekkers in Nepal known as Hidden Valley. There are reports of many endangered species residing in this area including the mysterious snow Leopard. Subsequent to crossing Dhampus pass, the trek comes down to the valley of the Kali Gandaki meeting the main trail either at Marpha or at Tukuche.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Meet and greet at the international airport & Transfer to hotel. Short briefing of trip. Check in to hotel & rest for Refreshment .Overnight at Hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour – B
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and proceed to Kathmandu sightseeing tour especially world cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley; the ancient historical monuments, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Buddhist sacred sites: Swayambhunath and Boudhanath and Hindu divine place Pashupatinath. After the tour, drop off to the hotel and preparation for trekking. Overnight at hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 03 : Drive Kathmandu – Beni – B/L/D
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and drive to Beni by Tourist vehicle. The drive is scenic which passes through river banks, forests, and villages in the hilly region of Nepal. Overnight at Guest House, Beni.
Day 04 : Beni – Trek to Babichaur (1,000m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the first day of the trek to Babichaur. The trail goes along the Kali Gandaki River at first then crosses a suspension bridges over Myagdi Khola then after through villages like Mangalghat, Singa, Tatopani, Simalchaur and finally reaches at Babichaur village. Overnight at Tea House Lodge, Babichaur.
Day 05 : Babichaur – Dharapani (1,565m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to next camp, Dharapani gaining some elevation. Overnight at Tea House Lodge, Dharapani.
Day 06 : Dharapani – Trek to Muri (1,850m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Muri through a steep trail observing a clear view of Mt. Dhaulagiri. Overnight at Tea House Lodge, Muri.
Day 07 : Muri – Trek to Boghara (2,050m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Boghara. Initial part of the trek is easy, descends gently but the final leg is a vertical climb for about two hours which reaches at Boghara. Overnight at Tea House Lodge, Boghara.
Day 08 : Boghara – Trek to Dobhan (2,630m, 05-06 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Dobhan. This part is challenging, sometimes even needing the assistance of ropes.
Day 09 : Dobhan – Italian Base camp (3,500m) – B/L/D
After reaching the west face of Mt Dhaulagiri, set up the camp for the day. The trail passes through alpine forests and from the Base Camp; it offers the panoramic view of mountain all around.
Day 10 : Rest day – B/L/D
This day serves both as an acclimatization day and a day for sightseeing. Explore the nearby areas and soak up the captivating mountain panorama.
Day 11 : Italian Base camp – Glacier Camp (4,250m) – B/L/D
You need to walk through glacier moraine and snow, and in some places you will need to use ropes. You will have an eerie experience as you walk through Chonbarden gorge. The route involves risks, but the sceneries are extremely beautiful.
Day 12 : Acclimatization day at Glacier camp – B/L/D
You can go up a walk towards the Base Camp. The views from a moraine ridge include that of Tukuche, little Eiger, and icefall from the north east face of the mountain.
Day 13 : Glacier Camp – Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,740m, 04 hrs) – B/L/D
Dhaulagiri is the tallest white mountain of Nepal. As the other peaks of the country have steeper slopes, ice does not accumulate as much as here in Dhaulagiri. As you reach the Base Camp, you will enjoy the unbeatable sceneries of Dhaulagiri II and IV as well as Tukuche. You will also see the trail that climbs towards the summit.
Day 14 : Rest day – B/L/D
This day is necessary to adjust your body into the thin air of high altitude.
Day 15 : Through French Col (5,360m) – Trek to Hidden Valley (5,050m) – B/L/D
7 hrs passing through the French Col and reaching the Hidden valley requires the use of climbing gears like ice axe and crampons. This is one of the toughest and most adventurous parts of the trek. As usual breathtaking sceneries provide you relief from the strain.
Day 16 : Hidden Valley Acclimatization Day – B/L/D
A rest day to absorb the sceneries of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri mountains. It further facilitates in acclimatization that is necessary to traverse the Dhampus Pass (5240m) the next day.
Day 17 : Hidden Valley – Trek to Yak Kharka (3,680m, 09-10 hrs) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek making a gentle climb through snow to reach the Dhampus Pass. The pass offers the eye-catching sceneries of Dhampus peak on the left and Tukuche on the right. After climbing over the 5200m Dhampus Pass, the trail goes through risky slopes, where avalanches move down sometimes and makes a steep descent to Yak Kharka.
Day 18 : Yak Kharka – Trek to Marpha (2,670m) – B/L/D
After breakfast, start the trek to Marpha; a village in the Kali Gandaki Valley. It is famous for a monastery and apple orchards. The apples produced here are of superior quality and called apple beer. Overnight at Tea House Lodge, Marpha.
Day 19 : Drive Marpha – Beni (by shared jeep); Drive Beni – Pokhara (private car/van) – B
After breakfast, transfer to Beni by shared jeep from Marpha and then to Pokhara by private vehicle. Upon reaching at Pokhara, check in to hotel. Get refreshed and have a rest. Explore the Lakeside for shopping or night life experience in the evening. Overnight at hotel, Pokhara.
Day 20 : Drive Pokhara – Kathmandu (200km, 06-07 hrs) – B
After breakfast, pick up from hotel and transfer to Kathmandu by 06-07 scenic drive by Tourist bus/private vehicle. After reaching at Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. Check in to hotel and rest for refreshment. In the evening, farewell dinner at the authentic Nepalese restaurant along with live cultural show. Overnight at Hotel, Kathmandu.
Day 21 : Leisure Day – B
This is a rest day to enjoy the free time by shopping at souvenir shops or hanging around Thamel (tourism hub city).
Departure – B
Leisure until departure. Transfer to International airport to board the flight.
Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with us. Please note that your Trekking leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it seems necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to maintain the above itinerary; however, travelling in remote mountainous regions can’t be taken guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

2. Welcome drinks (non-alcoholic) and farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with a cultural dance show.
3. All accommodation in 3-star category hotels on bed and breakfast basis in Kathmandu and Tented Camp accommodation on full board basis (all meals) during the trek.

5. All sightseeing heritage monuments entrance fees.
6. Kathmandu – Beni overland round transportation by tourist bus.
