Changes to TIMS System in Nepal

TIMS Card and Trekking Guide are Mandatory on Most Trekking Routes in the Himalayas of Nepal.

As per the Revised TIMS Provision effective from April 01, 2023, specific Protected Areas of Nepal need trekkers to be accompanied by a licensed trekking guide and carry a trekking agency-issued TIMS Card for safety and emergency help purposes. Here mentioned below are the trekking regions and routes falling under this rule.
