The Gosaikunda region is enclosed by mountain chains near the Tibetan border. The trek begins from Syabrubesi and crosses the forests of rhododendron and pine and passes the streams of rivers from the snowy mountain. Many wild animals like the Himalayan black bear, red panda, wild boar, langur monkeys and many species of birds are abundant in the region. The holy Gosaikunda Lake is a major pilgrim site for many Hindus and Buddhists. The lake is still and soothing and the trekkers can enjoy the freshness and feel the spirituality in the silent atmosphere of the lake.
