Itinerary

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet and greet at the international airport and transfer to the hotel. Briefing on the trip. Check in to the hotel and rest for refreshment. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel and head towards the Kathmandu sightseeing tour, especially the UNESCO world cultural heritage sites, which include Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, to experience the beautiful fusion of religion, arts, culture, and history. These heritage monuments reflect the centuries-old culture, arts, and architecture of Nepal, which are unique in the world. After the tour, drop off at the hotel and make preparations for Langtang Valley trekking, including all the trekking permits and equipment. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel and drive to Syabru Beshi by public bus for about 7–8 hours through the scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas. Overnight at the guest house, Syabru Beshi.

After breakfast, start the first day of the trek to the Lama Hotel. It is the easiest part of the trek. The trail ascends gently up to the Lama Hotel, passing through forest. En route, there might be encounters with Red pandas and Black bears. Overnight at the Tea House, Lama Hotel.

After breakfast, start the trek to Langtang Village. The trail passes through dense forest, providing a glimpse of Langtang Lirung Peak and witnessing white monkeys, birds, and other wild animals. This beautiful mountain village thrives with a community health post, a government school, small markets, and monasteries. The 2015 Gorkha earthquake severely destroyed this village, now it is rebuilt. Overnight at the Tea House, Langtang Village.

After breakfast, start the trek to Kyanjin Gompa. The trail ascends gradually, passing through small villages and yak pastures, which provides an excellent panoramic view of the Langtang Lirung, Genjempol, Ganjala, and Naya Kenga Himal ranges. Overnight at the Tea House, Kyanjin Gompa.

After breakfast, proceed to the excursion to Kyangjin Gompa and its surroundings. Visit the 400-year-old monastery and Yak Cheese Factory. Hike up Kyanjin Ri (4,350 m) for the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung, or Tsergo Ri (4,984m) for a breath-taking panoramic view of Langtang Peak. Hike back to Kyanjin Gompa and stay overnight too.

After breakfast, trek back to the Lama Hotel, retracing the same trail that follows a steep descent. Overnight at Teat House, Lama Hotel.

After breakfast, start the trek back to Syabru Beshi. Overnight at the Guest House, Syabru Beshi.

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu, retracing the same path. After reaching Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and rest for refreshment. Enjoy the free time by shopping at souvenir shops or hanging around Thamel (the tourism hub city). Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Leisure time until departure. Transfer to the international airport to board the flight.

  • A trekking guide is mandatory during the trek, and 10 trekkers are equal to 1 guide, and 2 trekkers are equal to 1 porter.
  • You must obtain a trekking permit (National Park + TIIMS), which is under the control of your trekking organizer.
  • It is advised to take dry nuts and energy chocolate with you while trekking.
  • Water-purifying tabs, wet tissue wipes, and hand sanitizer are recommended to carry with you.
  • In the mountains, 1 porter can carry approximately 15-20 kg.
